GBCC encourages students to further develop skills that will contribute to their academic, 专业, and personal success. Our goal for the Student 领导 & Development Program is to provide 领导 & development opportunities to learn valuable life skills. These opportunities build 领导 skills through workshops, seminars, and structured retreats.
We recognize that there are many different types of leaders in different roles on campus. These programs are open to all GBCC students.
If you are interested in the program or would like more information, please contact Brian Scott, [email protected] or Brittanie Mulkigian, [email protected] or visit 学生生活 in the Student Success Center.
领导 Retreat
Since the first 领导 Retreat weekend in 2009, over 200 GBCC students from ages 18 to 67 have earned 领导 certificates. The 领导 Retreat weekend is held at Camp Mi-Te-Na in beautiful Alton New Hampshire and is specifically designed for students who want to further their 领导 skills.
Students who participate in the Retreat will develop an understanding of their individual 领导 style, participate in collaborative 领导 activities, master a ropes course, and enjoy getting to know other GBCC students at a bonfire.
All GBCC students are welcome to attend the 领导 Retreat.
领导 Video Series
Ed Gerety is an author and a 专业 领导 trainer who has reached over 3,000,000 youth and young adults in the United States. Ed has specifically created a three-part video series for GBCC students that emphasizes skills including respect, 字符, 领导, goal setting and making a difference.

Volunteer Opportunities
Community service is a very important part of campus life at GBCC. Students are encouraged to serve and help make a difference in their communities.
GBCC works closely with Operation Blessing in Portsmouth, an organization that provides food, 服装, and household items free of charge to its clients and over the years, many GBCC students have assembled Thanksgiving baskets and gift-wrapped hundreds of holiday presents for children in the community.
GBCC also works closely with Gather, a Portsmouth organization that strives to end hunger throughout the Seacoast in NH and ME. Many GBCC students have volunteered at Gather’s Pantry Market and the Farm Shares for Families program.
For more information about group volunteer opportunities, please contact Brittanie Mulkigian, [email protected] 或者布莱恩·斯科特, [email protected].
100小时俱乐部
The 100小时俱乐部 is an opportunity for Great Bay Community College students, 教师, and staff to complete 100 hours of community service during their time spent at GBCC. After 100 hours (or more) have been completed, students are recognized at the Student 领导 Banquet in May, and their names added to a plaque displayed in 学生生活.
